Who we are
For every negative story we come across in the media about addiction there is a positive, often unheard one, of people who are facing up to there problems with courage and honesty. The public view of addiction and the addict is out of balance. Hope North East is here to redress that balance. We are the positive face of addiction – RECOVERY! We come to a place within ourselves where we realise that life as an addict cannot continue, it is in that place that recovery begins. We are those people who have reached that place and have found a positive way out. Our unique life experiences, the very fact that we have been through what the addict looking for recovery is going through, makes us able to relate to and support people with addiction without passing judgement or condemnation.
